Nancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet Hand is a puzzle and mystery solving game. Nancy Drew volunteered as a Deputy Curator at the Beech Hill Museum in Washington, D.C. The museum is closed while they prepare an Ancient Mayan artifacts exhibition. As time goes by, Nancy discovers that there have been a series of thefts in the museum. In every case, the thief left a scarlet handprint.
You will need to help Nancy to discover who the thief is. You will do so by interviewing characters, asking them questions and extracting some valuable information from their answers. As in every Nancy Drew game, you will have to pick from a list what you believe is the right comment. You will hear the dialogs through pre-recorded human voices. You can navigate through the different scenarios by clicking with your mouse. You will be able to examine objects, read newspapers and magazines, activate computers and talk to other people through the telephone. However, some actions will cause you to be expelled from the case. If that happens, you will have a second chance to resume the game, or you will need to start the case over.
